This video explains on a '64 Valiant that there are five 3/8" headed nuts to remove the padded dash pad, as well as two straps on either end fastened with a screw on the bottom and a push-pin thing on top. He recommended removing the headlight switch for access. Not sure if removing the gauge cluster was really necessary.

However, he failed to show us what the two end straps look like. Anybody know? And are the five fasteners "real" nuts or are they the skimpier speed nuts? Thank you.

P.S. Found one of my old threads to find the five fasteners are "pal nuts" with 3/8" head.
