Early A Body stress cracks

Has anyone out there experienced the stress crack right at the narrow point of the body to the front of the big back window on top of the quarter ? I have seen others do it as well. before I start my primers I wonder if one can brace this on the inside some how (mig a steel brace or something)

in having a problem picturing he exact spot but it sounds like you have a lead seam cracking and lifting...

picture maybe? The quarter seam is on the top of the panel and covered by stainless trim on mine, but I have not seen any cracks, just the seam and spotwelds.

I'm starting to get a crack there, too, and yes, it is a lead seam. Mine is also cracking at the base of the A-pillar, which is also a lead filled seam.

Install sub-frame connectors.

x2 on sub frame. I installed some 15 yrs ago after mine started. It worked.

can I get an idea on these sub frame connectors? where do they install exactly ? and what are they ? (shape, size, purchase or fabricate? ) Before I had the body blasted I remember the stress cracks in that location( thru the lead) I don't want this to happen after I paint it.

When I did mine I had to fab. I used 2x3 square tubing and welded them on to the bottom of the subframes. Now days you have suppliers like the one in the link that makes them to fit the floor contours.
