Early A column question

-
That all depends. You could swap a manual steering shaft and coupler into your column, you could find a manual steering column and coupler, or you could get a power to manual adapter like the one here http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mamastad.html
Here's the problems you need to solve to make it work:
The manual steering box has an input shaft that is larger in diameter and farther away from the firewall than a power box. You will need to make the column shaft longer and swap to a manual steering coupler. IMO the adapter solves the problem with the least hassle. You can shop around for the best price. The above link is for illustrative purposes so you can see what it looks like. These are available from Firmfeel, Flaming River, and Mancini's among others. Hope this helps...

I can sell you just the shaft for a manual setup if you need one! Just message if you're interested, Geof

Are you looking for a new workout plan for your biceps? ;-)
Funny :) Small a body with a slant six im not sure how much of a difference it will make really?
I got a add on ac unit and the comp runs off of the power steering crank groove. So that is why im changing this over. Replacing one comfort for another.
