According to pages 23-65 thru 23-67 of the 1965 Plymouth Service Technical Manual:

Windshield: Apply a small bead of weatherstrip cement to the body flange groove of the weatherstrip. Position weatherstrip over the body flange.

Coat the groove of the weatherstrip with mineral spirits to lubricate the rubber gasket while inserting top edge of glass with fiber wedge and bumping glass with palm of the hand.

Air dry the weatherstrip and apply weatherstrip cement between glass and weatherstrip. Push in the extended lip of the weatherstrip at the top and sides.

Use mineral spirits as a lubricant and a fiber wedge and install the mylar trim strip into the rubber (start at lower center).

Rear Window: Apply a small bead of weatherstrip cement to the body flange groove of the weatherstrip. Position weatherstrip over the body flange.

Coat the groove of the weatherstrip with mineral spirits to lubricate the rubber gasket while inserting top edge of glass. Work the weatherstrip over the edge of the glass using a tapered fiber stick and bumping the glass into place with the palm of the hand.

Air dry the weatherstrip and apply weathersealing compound between the glass and weatherstrip.

Use mineral spirits as a lubricant and a fiber wedge and install the mylar trim strip into the rubber

Clean all excess sealer.

The instructions are a bit unclear in the manual. What current products would satisfy the products called for (weatherstrip cement and weather sealing compound) is anybodies guess.

This may be an appropriate product:
