64-66 deck lids the same? Friend needs a solid, straight deck lid.

No they are not the same. 64 and 65 undersides are different from 66. Support rod mount holes are different and hinges are different angles to lids. 66 one year only.

I just put a 65' on my 66'. They are basically the same but the support rod assembly is different. Just use the support rod for the trunk lid you have and most on lookers will never know.
