Early or late y9 tawny gold

Is there such a thing as a earlier year y9 tawny gold? Seems i heard that somewhere. Like early is more brown and later like 72 up is more gold. Is this right?

Not sure, here is an original 71 though.

Thanks, the vinyl top is in need of replacement and we are thinking of black. What is your opinion?

I had a 73 Scamp same color with the white vinyl top, when the roof started to bubble I stripped off and painted it white. Still looked the same and no more worrying about top.

I liked my white top till i changedd the interior to black. Now im thinking i would like a black top. White with white is a good looking combo tho.

My interior is a pale yellow almost gold color.
