For anyone who is not aware, there is a reunion of East Coast Drag Racers held each year in Henderson, North Carolina. The event is three days and this is the seventh year. On Saturday there is a classic car and truck show in downtown Henderson, last year over 1,000 cars and trucks. The feature of the event is all of the original and restored drag race cars, top fuel, funny car, stock, superstock and gassers. You have an opportunity to hang out with drag racers, owners and crew chief from back in the 50's, 60's and 70's.
Each reunion like this is possibly the last time you would get to talk drag racing with the history of the sport. I know there are members here which have grandparents and parents which raced in those days and some of you are like myself and raced on the dragstrips of those days, many of which are now gone.
