Does anyone own or have used one of these tools? They look interesting and by the same token they look like they could do some serious damage if one weren't careful with it.

I love mine! You are far less apt to warp the metal due to overheating it verse angle grinders. I'm doing a 73 TR6 now and this worked great stripping the hood and trunk. As a former B/S owner i can't tell you how many times cars come in with warped sheet metal due to inexperienced grinders (not the tool) and the owners didn't know it was warped.
