Howdy folks. I'm looking at having a crated small block shipped from PA to WA. I know Fastenal is a thrifty way to do this, but they won't ship from one side of the country to the other. Has anyone else used another cost-effective method to get an engine shipped?

You are probably going to pay through the nose. It will most likely have to go by truck freight.

Thats going to cost, especially if it is to your door. Which will require a lift gate unless you have a fork lift.

Shipping is outrageous right now. Just stupid crazy.

Long block in a crate. Should be about 575 lbs.

Probably cheaper to drive and pick it up.

FEDEX sometimes has good rates. But man, and I know this is worth nothing, I'd help in a second if it was further south and I was able.
