Eddy 650 AVS vs. Holley 650 DP

Now I have a rod question. It has the 68x47 rods and I do have the tuning kit. Which number is the power and cruise numbers? is the larger the power or is it the cruise. If I want to go richer do I use a 65x47 or a 68x42 rod?
Thanks all!

The first number is the cruise adjustment, the last number is power (smaller diameter - more fuel trough jet). When you want the cruise mode richer use a rod first number lower, when you want the power mode leaner use a rod with second number higher for example - ok?

When at idle (high vac) the metering rods are sucked down into the jet. In power mode (low vac) the metering rods pop up.

The spring kit allows you to adjust at just what Inches of Vac that happens. plain spring 8in vac goes into power mode early (perf), blue spring 4 in vac goes into power mode late (econ).

Edelbrock has a chart in their owners manual (downloadable) with jetting / metering rods for adjusting rich/ lean - power/ cruise.

I also highly recommend the book Rebuild & Powetune Carter/Edelbrock Carburetors by larry shepherd.
