Eddy Air Gaps, Chevy/Ford/Mopar SBs

-
I was told that it was to clear up a signal issue for the carb. I had an old performer rpm manifold on a Chevy sb400 that wouldn't run well with a MSD Atomic injection. On a tip I had the divider milled down just over .75" and the stumble and sputter when away.

No clue why it's not done on a Mopar manifold.

Edit....did some reading, from what I found, It will take some low rpm tq away and add higher rpm hp & tq. It also seems to work better the longer the stroke is.

Sounds like if you're motor needs more than a dual plane intake can offer, but can't quite take full advantage of a single plane, it's the ticket...

..the LD340 had small section open and i've read that it was for the old holley 3 bbl.
i doubt if there are many of them around now...but i could see it balancing pressure
