eddy intake and holley carb

I just picked up a 2176 intake. I also have a holly 570 sa. My question is should I run a carb adaptor plate.

What's a 2176? Performer?
Did you try to run the engine without it?
The adapter is the thin metal plate?

The edlebrock performer and the holley street avenger 570 is a nice every day driver combo. If you mean a carb spacer, that is very easy "trial and error" to see what you specifically like. The carb will work fine bolted directly to the intake. You didn't say what motor this combo was going on and what it was used for. Perfect for a stock 318 daily driver, but not the best for a well built (big cam, ported heads, etc) 340/360 that will see most of its duty at the dragstrip

Just going on a stock 360 in my shortbox. Should I use just the 4 hole gasket.
