i have a 1973 Dart Swinger and i pulled the /6 for a 360LA. Putting a 600cfm 4b carb on it.

Im a mechanical dummy and keep hearing to check hood clearance.

I dont have an air gap currently but was wondering if anyone knows if it will fit or am i going to have to get a low profile air filter etc?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 73 Sport with the air gap and a 650 eddy carb with a Mopar performance air cleaner and it just fits but I don’t have the hood insulation.

Sweet so mine should fit and if worse comes to worse i could cut out a section of insulation?

I cant remember if i have any honestly.

Some one in the for sale adds the other day had 3 or 4 drop base air cleaner bases for sale. Check the mechanical for sale threads.

I have a '70 dart with a magnum 360, which should be the same dimensionally as an LA. I'm using an RPM air gap intake with a street demon carb and the mopar performance air cleaner. It BARELY clears the hood bracing.

Get yourself a 14" × 3" drop base air-cleaner. $15- $20.
Give the cheap paper filter to your chevy neighbor, and put on a 14" × 3" K&N.
Let that sucker breath.
