Could you please post the ThermoQuad's carburetor number? It's stamped into the driver's side rear of the base plate by the mounting bolt hole, facing the driver. It should be a four-digit number starting with a 6 or 9, followed by S or SA. Thanks!

There is no number stamped there. I would have posted it already. But will do so here as requested.

That's weird. Why would someone grind a number off a carb?
