Hello,
I scored a great deal on an Edelbrock intake manifold for my small block. The only problem, is it is designed for an EGR valve. I have built a block off plate that I will use to seal up the outside ports where the EGR would sit. My question has to do with the 2 holes that are inside the manifold directly beneath where the carb would be. One on each side of the intake. They are both tied into the hole for the EGR.
Because this is going on my 64, I will not need the EGR, can I just tap the holes and put in plugs? My dad has the same holes on the Edelbrock intake for his 440, but they are in a different location. Do I need to plug them if I have a block off plate on the outside?
Is this a big deal?
I appreciate your insight.
Thank You!
