I recently picked up a Edelbrock TR1Y intake. I had been running Lokar kickdown with previous intake. I am struggling figuring out how to get it to work on this intake since the new linkage swing’s the opposite direction. If anyone knows how to make this work I would appreciate it.

just attach an extension to the throttle arm, so it again kicks in the right direction

or post some pics so i can doodle it in

this would be my first suggestion

you build another lever (the red on) that pivots on the hole allready on the throttle bracket
you make a little activator lever from the front carb doohicky to the new lever (green) and attach the lokar cable to the opposite end (orange)

just make sure you got your radius right and all should be well
hopefully there is enough inner cable to make the extension (i know you can order new inner cables, or if the outer is long enough, cut it down to expose more to make it work)

ok, i woke up this morning, and i had an epiphany

(ill provide the idea, and let you iron out the kinks)

what you do is, get a throttle tube from a dirtbike or a quad...any handlebar mounted throttle, really

this is where it gets really exciting...i was gonna go on ebay to grab you a picture and a price when i came across this little gem...you ready?

you mount that right on the first throttle lever (just got to mount it up a little but to clear the pivot point, maybe grab some longer machine screws to use as pedestals) and boom your done

with a little bit of luck, you dont even need to trim the cable
