Auto body guys. This might be a dumb question.
Do you strip the EDP coating of the patch panels before you paint them
or leave it on and primer over it.
I'm planning to patch the rear lower box panel on my 99 Ram.

I strip it. THat stuff is pretty slick and I wouldnt risk adhesion issues with filler or primer. You can leave the inside stuff alone.

If you need to fill over it grind it down and do your filler work. Otherwise you can scuff it with a red scotch brite pad and paint or prime over it.
