I'm doing efi with tank and pump from tanksinc.com. I'll be using a corvette filter/regulator combo. Question is: where should I mount the filter? Close to the engine like a corvette? I'm assuming they do this to limit pressure drop to the fuel rail. Or do I mount it near the tank? Would/could the system loose pressure running that far regulated? Maybe I'm over thinking this. Thanks for any help.

Well, you could pretty much mount it anywhere, but if you're really worried about precise fuel control, you should really run a complete return system with an adjustable return regulator.

The pressure drop F/R in the car should be small enough that you can ignore it. They do returnless fuel systems where they are basically doing what that corvette filter does inside of the tank.
