if this has been beat to death please show me a link and i can read it.. 1965 dart, looking for pics of where to mount the fuel pump and filter. and how to mount them thanks.

What year and model are you working on?

Here's a picture of my 66 Barracuda. It isn't as close to the muffler as it looks in the picture. I didn't think to grab the picture until after I dropped it off jack stands.

I mounted mine on the frame rail right at the bottom front of the wheel arch. I would have liked to have it a little closer to the tank but I also wanted it lower than the tank. I have 1500 miles on the engine an no problems. Well, this is the second pump. The first one, a Carter P4070 quit on me.
 
My first (best) choice is in the tank.
2nd would be behind and below the tank drawing from a sump. Anything else you do with an electric will shorten it’s life.
