Electric fuel pump recommendation

Was under the hood of my car with it running and happened to look down at my fuel pressure and noticed it was 3 psi or a bit under so it looks like i am in the market for a new fuel pump. It does not have a regulator on the line it just has a big log and 2 outlets so I am guessing it is the pump. I have read reviews on many pumps and people say theirs were extremely load. This is a street car so i would like one that is quieter. The one that is on it you can hear when the engine if off but not after that. What would you all recommend. I will also be getting a regulator as well.
 
Are you having any driving issues? Like running out of gas at high speed? If not, maybe the gauge is inaccurate. I have 2 Walbros in 2 cars and very good. 1 in F.I. car and the other in a carbed car and both cars have a regulator.
 
First, what carb?
Next, how much horsepower are you trying to feed?
Edelbrock makes a pump they claim is quiet, but I've read opinions that it isn't. Not cheap, either.
For a high flow pump, I'd recommend a G-rotor style. Quieter than a vane pump, more durable. Probably too much pump for a mild engine.
For slightly warmer than stock, I'd suggest a Carter. A dependable design that's been around a LOT of years.
For me, my last two pump purchases were trick flow tfx, with a matching regulator. Not particularly quiet, but feed my two 500hp engines fine. 140 gph free flow, and imo, inexpensive. Direct replacement for a holley blue, $60 cheaper.
I have a 250gph mallory on my little car, but I believe it's over $600 now. I didn't pay anywhere near half that.
 

What pump do you have NOW? Besides the gauge reading, how does it RUN?

Crawled up under the car today and it is a bravex fuel pump. Car runs fine up to about 5000 rpm then falls on its face and starts popping out the exhaust which could also be due to springs being worn in the head which is another project.

Ok so it's an electric pump. And I guess if you can SEE IT, it's an inline pump like on the frame rail or some such? If you put one of those Walbro 392 pumps on it with a regulator, say goodbye to fuel delivery issues. They have metric threads so you'll have to adapt. No biggie.
 
I would like to thank everyone for their responses but someone local had a new in box edelbrock 1791 for $40 so figured I would give that try due to the money I have spent on other parts this month. If the edelbrock don't work for me I will be looking at these recommendations again and get one of these.
