electronic ignition

i have installed the MP electronic igniton w/orange box, msd coil and msd wires. what would be the biggest benefit to going with the msd 6a box. Also, should i be gapping the plugs more than .35 because of the electronic ignition upgrade?

You will notice smoother idle, easier starting, and better low end power.
