Emblem Dilemma

I have a 67 Cuda and I replaced the driver fender with a 69 and welded up the market light.

Them emblems are different on the 69, smaller I think.

The fender is painted, so now I can get 69 emblems and not worry about it or weld up the holds re-drill and repaint.

What would you do?

Since the 1967 and 1969 emblems both have the black in the script I doubt anyone would realize the difference. I would go as is.

If you grind the studs off the 67 emblem could you glue them on with emblem adhesive? Would it cover the holes? If not, I would use the 69's.
You can't look at both fenders at the same time! I saw a brand new Buick one time where the factory put "Limited" on one fender and "Custom" on the other!
