[Found!] Emergency Brake inside cable retaining pin.

I am sure I completely foobarrd the name of the part I need. The attached photo shows where the pin goes, perhaps it is a clevice pin?

Its just a clevis pin.

available at most hardware stores. you will have to do some detective work to determine the correct size and length.
