Hello from France,

I have a 1970 Plymouth Duster with a 318 engine. But originally the car was imported to France in 1970 with a slant 6. The previous owner tinkered with some engine mounts, and I want to do this again properly.

First question: I heard that on A-body until 1972, the engine cradle was the same whether it was a slant 6 or a v8. Is it correct ?

Otherwise, I also saw that apparently the engine mounts are different between a 293/318 and a 340/360. Also true?

I got confirmation from the previous owner that he just removed the slant 6 and put the 318 in it. So I have well the original cradle.

In this case, can you tell me where I can find the brackets to put my 318 correctly.

Thank you !

V8 and Slant engine cradle were the same up to 1966.Not so after that.
Yes on the 273/318 mounts. They differ from the 340/360 but can be used by shimming the mount to block attachment.
I understand that someone bought the rights to make the Schumacher mounts.I believe the company is USCarTool.com.I would look on Mancini Racing web to see if the Slant to 318 mounts are available.
That is if your engine cradle has not been modified.

Hello. Sorry, my car isn't here, but in garage.

Here's that a dealer found for me:

the left biscuit and mount looks like a truck one

while you would use the truck mount on the V8, you would use a car buscuit
