I'm waiting for the res tof my bolts, I got nice 12 point bolt set in stainless for the timing chain cover and the water pump, need a pad for my fuel tank so I can install it and plumb my fuel system... and -cringes- make a hole in the firewall for my autometer temp sender. Thats why I have the larg brass fitting in the intake It'll have a barbed end for a heater hose and has on the back a place to thread my insert into. Mostly I need little things.

yes the engine looks good! I just rebuilt my 340 this last winter myself so i know what your going through! The valve covers do look real nice as it matches the color of te car!

Awesome job! I think we all suffer from the same problem......hang tough, you're waaaaaay ahead of me. I'm just beginning mine after a twenty-five year layoff so I've got a lot of catching up to do! Keep the progress pix coming though; you're giving me ideas! :)

The headers are ceramic coated TTI's they fit very nicely a little close at the collector to the transmission but all in all better then the hooker super comps that came off.

The project snowballed from a fresh engine to some rust repair in the engine bay and painting it and around we went . I cant afford to paint the outside of the car at this time. I had a guy telling me my valve covers look funny on the orange block. I really wanted the direct conn ection ones with no luck.

Can't wait to hear how it sounds through my spintech mufflers though.

Sounds familiar.................. :dontknow:

Looks great, I would not make a hole for the temp sending unit, you should have a grommet under the speedo cable, if not you can route it trhough the speedo one. Keep up the good work.

It'll take a lot of line and I'm not useing the cheesey plastic hose they send for the oil pressure sender so I have brained 4an line. Also I ned to get the temp sender probe through which doesnt come off the factory capilary tube.
