HI GUYS
IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING A 44O MAGNUM WITH A DIFFERENT MOTOR OF THE SAME SIZE JUST TO SAVE THE ORIGINAL ENGINE. AND RECENTLY FOUND A SEDAN WITH A 44O RB FAMILY TAG ON IT. JUST CURIOUS IF YOU COULD LET ME KNOW WHAT THE RB FAMILY SPECS ARE. THANX MUCH. [-o<

RB stands for Raised Block. All 413, 426, 440 wedge motors are RB's including your 440 Magnum.

FWIW, The 361, 383 and 400 are B blocks. The difference between B and RB blocks is the distance from the centerline of the crank shaft to the deck surface the heads bolt to with the RB being larger therfore the "Raised" designation.

Bobby B,alot of info can be found on info numbers as casting number, serial production dates, and secondary codes on the stamp pad near the intake. This would help you a great deal to decode what you have and help you in what you need. Now its time to find out what all these numbers are and there meanings, email me at penstarperformance@videotron.ca,Mrmopartech
