Engine to Trans Brace Questions

Hi all,

My 318/904 was missing the engine block to trans braces, so I acquired a set, yet is the passenger side the same for the 904/727?

I got the driver side to fit perfectly yet the passenger side doesnt seem to go to the right spot on the transmission...maybe I have the 727 piece for the passenger side?

any help would be great

They should be the same or close. Even if they are not, fabricating one shouldn't be too hard.

I don't think they are really necessary anyway. I've seen tons of cars without them, my race car being one, with no problems what so ever. So unless you're going for a resto look I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't have em on my 67 340/727 Dart. I dont know if it contributed but I couldn't keep the TC bolts tight for the life of me.... I also broke 2 TC in that thing. An old timer told cause I didn't have those braces

Yup, there is a reason the TC bolts kept doing things they shouldn't. The braces are a good idea.

I dont have them on my 72 fish/318/727....

I cant fit them on because if the Doug's headers...and as far as I can see, not really any way around them....
