I'm in the process of resealing the heater/AC box with a Detroit Muscle kit. Since it will be apart would it be smart to replace the evaporator? Or maybe even send it out to get checked? I'm definetly replacing the heater core although it still looks good. Your thoughts?

Then I would just replace it and move on, when the oil mixes with water it make a acidity solution and eats away at the aluminum.
If it were sealed I would say just use it, the old ones were a lot thicker than the new junk..
