This is kinda of a stupid question, but what side of the exhaust gasket goes toward the block? The plain side or the silver side ? I got a set of felpros, for 318 Plymouth.

The silver side I think, but I also read that they didn't even come with gaskets from the factory. Not really helpful, I know, but I'm curious myself.
Correction, I meant the side that is not flat goes on the manifold side.

I believe the shiney side goes to the manifold.
