exhaust manifold exchange

alright so i pulled out an exhaust manifold from a 73 duster 225. i have a 170 in my 66 valiant. i wanted to know if it will fit? the exhaust manifold from the duster has the choke like a C.and the choke from the 170 its like a full circle. can someone please help me out with some info!!

The manifold will work just fine. The choke stove you have will fit in the pocket and function. If you have problems scrounge up a choke stove that has an L shaped top cap that fits the open pocket on the manifold and closes off the open side. Think they showed up around '72.

You may have to drill, or at least, ream the center hole in the 170 intake manifold to allow the center stud of the exhaust manifold to pass through it. You can use your original 170choke. If you find it doesn't open quickly enough, you can close in the open side of the choke well with a piece of sheet metal cut and bent to fit.
