Hi guys I hope you can point me in the right direction on this issue.

I have a recently purchased 74 duster with a 318 in it , and of course
there are a few previous owner "fixes" that I need to um....fix :)

I thought I had an exhaust leak on the drivers side at the head which was annoying and was high on my list of things to fix, on further inspection it turns out it has a set of smog heads with an older set of exhaust manifolds...so the head has air injection holes and the manifold does'nt have the tubes...not good.

So my question is whats the easiest and cheapest fix for this?

I suppose I could tap the holes and cap them off...would that work, or should I try and find an exhaust manifold with the tubes?

I really don't want to swap heads if I can avoid it cos I just wanted to run this engine until I finish the suspension and interior projects at which time I'll prolly stick a mild 360 in it....any ideas would be greatly apprieciated.

they should be threaded already but in any case just go to hardware store and get some brass plugs
