I'm trying to figure out a way to make a external pick up for small blocks, was wondering if oneither can use the powersteering aftermarket pump but with engine oil? I know the limiting factor for ps pumps is the flow valve which from what I've seen the max is 4.21gpm, but what if you run a straight 6an fitting or 8an with no flow valve. Think you can get 30gpm out of a vain type like a water pump over a gear like regular pumps. Just shooting out ideas. The reason I ask is have one sitting here in my garage and wondering if I can use it for this. Just wondering if it can be done.
