F body buckets to A body. HELP

A friend needs a pair of bucket seats for a 71 Demon, we have found a pair of F body seats. I'm wondering how different the frames are, to use A body seat covers on them. Anyone ever try this?

They aren't any wider but the brackets are different and you will have to redrill holes to use them. I would also make sure you use the weld in support plates. The covers won't swap. The foam has different contours and the f body has head rests. He could have someone try to match the a body covers.

I was figuring to change foam, wondering how close the frames are

Way off. The f body seat has different seat bezels and latches on the upper part. The bottom you might be able to work.

What are those seats from? The seat covers I have bought for other cars never had cuts for latches, just wondering if the seat frames are close in size.

I think is does depend on what year F body. I think the earlier F was more similar to an A.

These have the same seat backs and frames as the 71-5 B-body cars, with different shaped foam.
