Factory Battery

-
There is an AGM Mopar battery available. Don't know if there is something specific about '73. $3-400 dollars. I have one in my '69, not sure how old it is, but I have had the car for 6 years. It was in it when I bought it.

The batteries like that are junk. They won't last and are insanely expensive (if you can get them, last I knew they were backordered). Most just put them in the car at the show and put them back in the trunk when they leave. I use the battery toppers and a modern Deka group 24 battery.

You can get Red, Green or Yellow caps (cold cranking amps) caps. Have them in all my cars (note Year One make the upper hold down that is just a but wider to accommodate these) and _very_very_ few notice it is just a topper.

I have had good luck with AGM's, again, mine is 6+ years old, and I drive the car often in season. Having said that, I do have the toppers in two of my cars.

My oldest car one in my Bee (out of 5 total) is now 9+ years old. The one I depend on to start my airplane on backlakes over 80 miles from the closest road was 12 years old this Summer, so I threw a new one in to be safe. Currently using it to run my portable heater. Had it running for almost 9 hours the other day.
