factory undercoating

Hi just sold my 74 roadrunner to get me a 69 dart again this one is in ottawa canada.this one has what he says could be factory undercoating.Did they do this on some darts.I plan to go and see it soon i hope ,its a 2 hour drive, could be a watse of my time could be majour rust under it.he has sent many pics to my email but not sure how to post them so you all could see them.aany help may save me time and money.Thanks Don in Belleville.The car needs all new int, rear quarters,trunk instentions, front floor pans,and of course body and paint.Has 71 340 727 manual valve body poisy rear 391sssss some good stuff.asking price 8,500.
 
My '73 has factory undercoating. Major rust in the driver's floor pan. Can't tell at this point if it was due to undercoating was compromised or if water collected from the top side. (More evidence points to the latter.) If the undercoating is cracked, it will retain water. It will catch fire if heated sufficiently and put up a ton of dark smoke.
