Fan clutch and Fan

[68 Rat Rod]

Some time back I seen a post I think was from a member here about a fan clutch and fan that would help with a clearance issue for a 68 Dart or some other A body car. Need more clearance between the fan and radiator. I'm thinking the member was 70Duster440. The member posted the part number for the fan clutch and fan. If you read this could you please give those part numbers and what kind of car they were for. Any help would be appreciated. My email is ghei@tm.net

the fan clutch was a Hayden part, the # is 2675, at least that is what I wrote down....that was not it, must have wrote down the wrong #, sorry....it is 2765, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-2765/

I hate those things. I had blow apart and go thru the radaitor.

Yup, 2765 is it. No functional issues with it. A little more patience required to install (box wrench and nimble fingers). Use Locktite on the bolts. Ultimately I went with a solid, non-clutch fan because I got more consistent cooling results (BB/22" rad). It's a street car and there's no perceptible parasitic power loss.

Something to note: The typical solid blade fan for the clutch is not rated for high rpms. My solid, non-clutch fan is. Same manufacturer.
