Fan Clutch Depth

Can someone tell me what the depth of a fan clutch is? I'm looking at converting to a mech fan b/c my electric isn't doing the job, but don't know if I have room for a clutch. Only have about 3" or so from end of pulley to radiator. If I can't fit a clutch, does anyone have a recommendation for a mech fan without a clutch. Flex, standard, etc? They make so many of the dang things! Thanks.
 
I had a flex fan on my car and swapped it out for the mopar clutch kit. The
clutch is too long in that kit so I had to get a shorter clutch for it. I think
that is common for A bodies. Anyway, to be honest, the old flex fan cooled
about the same as the mopar replacement kit. I still have it somewhere, if
I dig it up you are welcome to it for the cost of shipping.

Thanks, let me know if you find it. Any idea where you got the shorter clutch? There are a bunch of them on Summit, but they don't give any dimensions.
 
The clutch was one for a Jaguar, I have the number someplace, I'll dig it up
with the fan.
