Fast Idle Stop Solenoids

Question to the smart guys and gals,

Did the 71 Demon 340 with the 4 bbl Thermoquad and 4sp tranny have a fast idle stop solenoid mounted to the intake manifold? And if so should the engine wiring harness have the wire that connnects to it? Does anyone have some pics of this set up they can send me? Trying to stay as original as possible on my resto project.

Yup. I believe it had one. They mount on the carburetor though.

........They have an anti diesling solenoid....bolted on the drivers side of the intake under the carb linkage.......yes there will b a wire.............kim........

ya heres the solenoid, originals have a stamp starting with DR for delco remy, bolts to the intake. I've been looking for one for several years i guess back in the day everyone tossed it out.

Sorry I was thinking about the later model that bolted to the passenger side front of the thermoquad. My bad.

ya 73 and on 72's had the manifold type but its smaller than the 71
