I just bought a universal Accel wire kit and it has 90 deg distributor ends. Any tricks on how to put these on? Should I slide the boot over the wire first?

I would slide the boot on first and then strip the wire end and add the metal end, then slide the boot up over it.

Clear tire black is a great lubricant too. The cheap stuff found at Walmart or Dollar General. It has silicones, and is easily wiped off, is not detrimental to boots or cables. It also helps clean cables and boots during a tuneup when changing plugs.

ive used windex as lubricant when changing dirt bike tire, that might do here in a pinch too

Get a can of silicone spray lubricant and those boots will slip right on.

My Son rebuilt the suspension on his RC truck and they use a silicone oil for the shocks.
Of course I snagged what he didn't need, and it works great for this kind of stuff and even comes in a small dropper bottle at the hobby store.
