Hey FABO,

Looking for a fender brace, that goes from the bumper bracket to the lower fender. Car is a 70 Duster. Pic below...

To save anyone from wasting their (and my) time, I can buy a new one for $24.99. So, the guys who are trying to retire off part sales can disregard this request. I'm not shelling out $100 + shipping for your old used piece.

Sorry for being abrupt, just really tired of seeing ads for parts that are priced WAY too high.

$24.99 is cheap enough for new, heck, you can make one of those out of rod stock for damn near nothing but your time if need be.
 
John, if you already have one, make a second one off it using yours as a chinese blueprint of sorts. It probably doesnt need to be solid rod. Get small diameter steel tubing, flatten the ends on an anvil with a hammer, and cut slots in it, and round the ends. Or use solid steel rod and weld flat ends on it with slots cut in them. A nice quick little project on the weekend. I make lots of the simpler stuff for these cars. I have made some pretty hard pieces. The part you have is really easy to make. This in pix is the one of the hardest things I ever fabbed. A factory correct RH bracket for factory dual exhaust. They repop these now for about $40. Hope my pix give you some fabrication ideas. Bracket was stamped as 1 piece, I could not duplicate it that way, so I made it as a 3 piece that appears like oem.

And this spare tire bracket I made from 19 gage sheet stock. 6 months later AMD decided to repop it for about $25. The point is, some of this stuff is repoppable in your own hands, with loads of satisfaction of making something from nothing but raw materials.
