I'm sure this topic was started like thousands of times before but I would like confirmation if I have the decoding right.
I would like to find out the date when my Valiant was built (or at least planned to be built).
The VIN is VL41C4F 221369, so what we need to know here is the 6th digit which means the year 1974.
The built date might be the only number without a letter in front (which I assume is only for the option codes), so the tag I have to look at is "517", right? So that means 5th month (May) and 17th day, so May 17th?
So in combination with the year, the date is May 17th 1974, is that correct?
