I installed some Crager SS 15x6 inch rims with 215 65 15 tires and I have 1/4 inch clearance between the tire and the left fender when I turn the wheels to the right. On the right side I have slightly more at 3/8 on an inch with the wheel turned to the left.
The question is a 1/4 inch enough clearance at the tightest point. Is there a way to shim the strut rod to push back the lower control arm.
Other than buying rims with more backset or smaller tires, is there anyway to get more clearance. Or is a 1/4 inch ok? I doesn't rub through it's full range of motion.

The more miles you put on your tires, the smaller they get..... Just kiddin'

Sometimes adjusting the torsion bars up or down will increase your clearance too...

That changes your alignment too, but you know that. :D

I think I'll crank up the torsion bars a little bit. My car needs an alignment anyways.
