fender vs. door tag

Are the fender tag and door tag on a 67 Plymouth supposed to match?
they decode to the same build..

Nope. It matches the core support. pre '69 has the shipping number on fendertag and core support rather than VIN.

Thanks for info, when I strip the radiator support paint the number should match the fender tag unless someone swapped stuff around, it already has 68 front fenders, and a dash from a slant 6, deeper into the car ive found quarter patches done on rears and front lowers on fenders at some time, but an excellent job.
