fenderwell headers under the master cylinder

anyone running fenderwells, more particularly the hooker super comps that have issues with the brake fluid in the master cylinder getting overheated from the header tubes running underneath it? I have a makeshift heat shield between the two now, but don't know if I really need it and it ain't all that pretty.

I ran them for years on a daily driver and never had a problem with pedal fade due to elevated b/f temps. We only had dot 3 in those days also.
 
My Signet has the same fender-well super comps for the past 25 plus years without a problem. 10 years ago it needed a new MC so I installed a plastic Toyota master cylinder and still no problems in 10 years.
 
I have a heat shield on my 66 Valiant 340, seems to work just fine :glasses7:

thanks for the input everyone. I am going to run without it and see what happens. mine is not near as clean as yours, Sedan.
