Just for the sake of discussion, i think the cam installed was probably a mild off the shelf grind. Most of those had a slight increase in lift/duration, low5's/210-216 range, but maintained a 114ish lsa to be computer friendly. Makes for good vacuum, smoother idle and a flat power curve. Nice for the street, but leaves a little on the table for the strip.
That sounds like the cam that possibly could be in the car. The owner built the car for his wife to bracket race, while he raced a I/SA Road Runner, he put together both cars. He has 6 Wally‘s for NHRA stock eliminator. So he has knowledge on building a race car. Interesting story.
