Ahhhhh, a man after my own heart! I thought I was the only nut case doing stuff like this for fun!

Test on my friend! TEST ON!

I had to let some of my carbs go. I have two tunnels rams to test with and I’m just itching to play with them. Soon, I’ll have my short block back. Muha ha ha ha ha….

1 year to go? Excellent!!!!!!!!

4 seasons to go!

On the Carter\ Edelbrock stuff, install larger needle and seat kits. Edelbrock sells .110 kits, and you can get .120 kits off of ebay from old Carter nos stuff.
I think the Thermoquads used .130s?

Oh ****, I just remembered I have a pair of thermoquads

If they match let’s test them on your tunnel ram. That would be interesting
I'll have to get some spacers and rebuild them but yeah that would be cool to test. If I could hear the secondaries over the headers I'll be smiling

Production TQs & the aftermarket 9000 series used 0.0935" n/seats. For reasons known only to Carter....I dare say quite a few high HP engines ran lean at high rpm from lack of fuel.
Much smaller Carter AVS [ 625 cfm ] carbs came with larger 0.101" n/seats. Go figure....
Edel carbs come with 0.0935" n/seats.
