Finally got the hood painted (didn't come out as good as I'd hoped, but it's OK), and got the new wheels on it.

Yeah I know, it's filthy, it's been sitting for the last three years while I worked on it.

That looks awesome in my opinion. where did you get the hood? I really like the look of the rims/tires. what kind are the rims? size of the tires? basically...i want to know everything! :)

Dang Lars!! That look perfect, You did a good job picking out your wheel too.

This is the look allot of people like myself are looking for. :tongue9:

Thanks guys. :)

The hood is an AAR Quality fiberglass bolt on six pack. The wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust D's that are 15X6 in size (couldn't go with 15X7 because they don't have enough backspacing). The tires are run of the mil Arizonian 215/70/15 in the front, and 235/70/15 in the rear. They are almost truck tire size, but I wanted a 28 tire to mellow out the 4.10's I have in the rear (stock A body 8 3/4, with BBP axles).

Looking Good Lars !! I just got 2 bumpers from AAR. Though I was able to pick them up. I live local to them.

I like it Lars, the hood is great and the American Racing wheels are way cool retro! Looking good!!! How did the hood fit?

Lars those wheels are bitchin' hot. It all looks pretty good if you ask me. Got a question for you. I am in the process of welding in my rear tail panel and lining up the quarter extensions and the trunk. I noticed that the lip of your trunk is below the quarter extension lip, is that the way they are supposed to be?

Fit real well, probably could have fit better with less fitting, but this car was wrecked at some point in it's life by a previous owner. Whatever body shop hacks they got to fix it didn't straighten everything out though, so it was a little difficult because of that, but not too bad. I'll definitely buy from AAR again.

Couldn't say, it might be because the rubber bumpers and weather stripping is wore out on it. I don't think my 73 is like that.

Great pics Lars,I`ve got an AAR hood too and it took a lot of tweaking to get it right but it turned out nice. I don`t think it matters whether your car was hit or not ,they`re always hard to get just right. You got her washed now ,what`s next?

Gonna get it inspected and put a few miles on it till I get the tune figured out. I was thinking about taking it to the track Friday night, but I may hold off a bit to make sure all the bugs are worked out first.
