finally weighed the duster today

I'm not sure if there is any difference in weight between 70 and 76. I did pick up a feather duster trunk lid at the swapmeet earlier this month to see how much it would weight - I was NOT impressed. And for the $250 they were asking I thought they had lost there mind ! I think just the outer layer is aluminium.

That bottom piece was 20 by itself? Geeze

Well 17 lbs, but 3 lbs of spring levers and hinges

The outer layer is steel, the inner bracing is the aluminum part on the feather duster/dart lite trunk lids.

My understanding is that it's worth about 5 lbs. Not earth shattering, but if you're really getting after it every lb counts.
