Helmet saved my Life when I was 17. 50 mph loose gravel and curve 20ft drop off don't mix. Tried to get it away from me but stuff happens fast. Face went through instruments face sheld broke still have funny place under left eye that does not tan like rest of face. Also took a chunk out of the helmet on something probably a rock. Woke up pushed bike home crawled in bed. Could not get up next day dad took me to the doc to say he was pissed would be understatement. Had the deepest bruises with no broken bones the doc had seen. Bruised my bones ouch!!! Glad I had on my leather stuff!
Be SAFE and watch out for the four wheel people that don't see us.
Little long winded sorry
She is one of the best passengers I have ever had. Very relaxed, not the least bit spooked by being back there....
Relaxed, huh? Some years ago my wife and I were on my KZ1000E heading down to a little B&B east of San Diego for the weekend. While riding along I had a couple of cars pull up alongside and pace me for a mile or so before pulling away. I glanced over at one of them and noticed the passenger was taking a picture - not of the bike or both of us, but only of my wife who was asleep on the back of the bike.
Now, that's relaxed!
Ernie used to sleep on the back of my GSXR1000.....on one of our trips thru the Salt River Canyon, one of my favorite twisty roads she slept thru some of the corners....
We were going up the Beeline highway towards Payson one day. Bit of traffic but it was spaced out....cruising along in sixth gear and she tapped my thigh and pointed at the go fast grip....twisting her wrist....down into second and turned it up....hit 155mph with her on the back. Went thru one of the sweepers at 145.....when we stopped up the road she asked me if that was all it had....
My transmission buddy in AZ is in deep sh*t with her. He promised her a ride in a very well built, long travel pre runner but we were pushed for time and it never happened....

Be safe...lots of stupid non-riders out there that don't even see us two-wheel guys out there.
I've had problems with aftermarket springs. Get a factory Harley part.
The last time I went to the dealer in Joplin, Mo. the parts guy looked down his nose at me because the bike I had at that time was an 87. He then told me that most of the parts were obsolete. To top it all off he refused to believe that the frame on my FXRC came from the factory powder coated blue. All they want to do is sell new bikes.
