I am working on a 73 duster for a guy & its an A/C car. He want to convert it to a non A/C car. He wants to find the section of the firewall where the heater motor & lines come through & cut that out & replace it with a non A/C cars firewall. Seams like alot of work. Has anyone done this ? Is there an easier way ? To me thats a lot of cutting, welding & body work.

I did it without a firewall section on my
69 Dart. Previous owner installed the A/C box on a non A/C car and did not do any of the under hood stuff. I wanted it back to factory.
Welded up the stud holes, patched the A/C line holes and blower motor hole. Drilled out the new hole for the blower motor after the patch was welded in.

Yes, nothing was changed for those holes.
